I’ve returned to Washington, DC, for the first time in a year to attend and present at Adaptive Path’s User Experience Week 2006. On Monday, Brandon Schauer and I spoke about “Creating Tangible Value with Design,” and you can read a summary of what we said on the conference wiki.
This year’s expanded speaker lineup has achieved the goal of shifting the event’s focus beyond just the online space. In particular, the keynote speakers have been fantastic — Brooklynite and best-selling author Steven Johnson, Pentagram partner and design badass Michael Bierut, and Adaptive Path alum and Web 2.0 skeptic Jeffrey Veen. I must admit that I’m jealous of Mr. Johnson being the number one Steven on Google. All in all, the week has been a great way of wrapping up a most inspiring summer of work with Adaptive Path.
